There are a lot of products which we sell here at Oipps that are popular because they have many different uses and applications, however when it comes to creating imaginative and unusual ideas it would be difficult to find anything that can beat our Plastic Barrels range.
Over the past few months we have had more enquiries than you would think from people needing our barrels to build homemade rafts. So, I thought I would do a bit of research and see what other creations were being brought to life from these surprisingly adaptable barrels. I’ve listed a few of my favourites below…….
By far the most popular creation being built from our barrels so it had to be top of the list! Great fun to build and a great team building exercise perfect for local Scout groups and adventure groups. There are lots of tutorials and videos online that show you how to make different raft designs and there are many charity raft races that are held up and down the country throughout the year where you can put your raft to the test for a good cause.
One of the easier and less complicated things to make, we even tried our hand at making a couple of keg sleds last Christmas! If you want to see the result and our very own tutorial video have a look HERE. Just remember this was our first attempt!!
Vertical Garden Planter
If you’re struggling for space in your garden or you just want to try something a bit different then this is a great idea. Grow strawberry’s, potatoes, carrots or anything else you can think of without taking up too much space, you can virtually create an entire garden with one barrel. And again, there are a lot of people making these so you won’t find it difficult to find videos and tutorials online.
You can take a look at our Plastic Barrel range HERE. We offer a range of sizes from 30 litres up to 220 litres and all our barrels are manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE). They are available in either a tighthead or open top style and can be used to store a host of items ranging from chemicals to food.
